From Farm to Family: Why We Trust Tallow for Our Skin

Before we started making our own skincare, I used to stockpile lotions from big box stores, hoping something would finally work. Raising three kids, spending long days outside farming, dealing with constant hand-washing and tough weather — our skin was always fighting an uphill battle.

Dryness, eczema, redness, irritation… no matter what the label promised, nothing really helped.

That’s when I started digging deeper. I learned that most conventional moisturizers are packed with water, synthetic fragrances, preservatives, and fillers — things that can actually dry out or irritate skin even more over time.

We needed something real. Something simple. Something natural and nourishing.

Tallow was the age-old solution to all those problems.

Tallow — rendered from grass-fed beef suet — is rich in natural fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) and healthy fatty acids that feed and heal the skin. It’s nearly bio-identical to the oils our own bodies naturally produce, making it incredibly absorbable and nourishing.

And sourcing matters.

That’s why we proudly partner with Triple C Angus, a local farm committed to raising healthy, grass-fed cattle right here in New Jersey. Their dedication to quality and stewardship means we can trust every batch of suet we use — and you can, too.

Using simple ingredients and thoughtful essential oil blends, we created the products our family needed:

Since switching completely to our handmade tallow products, we haven’t looked back.

Daytrip is crafted with Tallow, Beeswax, Non-nano Zinc Oxide for light sun protection and a gentle, skin-loving blend of Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Sweet Marjoram, Australian Sandalwood, Roman Chamomile, and Balsam Peru Oil.

The scent is soothing, soft, and perfect for embracing the sun without sacrificing skin health.
